Eagle Lake’s North Shore

While the calendar and the weather indicates it is March, many us can start thinking of a variety activities for the coming summer. For recreational aspects at Eagle Lake, the emphasis is usually centered around the south shore.  Those who resided closer to the lake’s northern shore did not prevent them frolicking in the water.

One reason for sharing these two photographs taken in 1923, is to point out a few items.  This is one of the instances where you may want to click to enlarge the images. One item is obvious is the lack of the trees on the hillsides. In addition, if you take a closer examination you can detect where the original road is, which is substantially higher than the current Highway 139.
