The Golden Eagle Mine was Hayden Hill’s largest gold producer. It was discovered in 1877 by William and Leonidas Hopkins and C.N. Nash. During its lifespan of operation in produced over $1,000,000 in gold, about one-third of all the gold extracted from Hayden Hill.
