Hope those that attended had a good time, and for others hope you enjoyed the narrative. We ended up with ideal weather conditions. In addition, Jim Chapman informed those in attendance of the work being done to replace the old archway entrance that was destroyed in the February 5, 2015 windstorm when two trees were toppled and demolished the old entrance.
The visit to the grave of Daniel Cramer, certainly caught the attention of many, when it was told that not only did he serve in the Union Army during the Civil War, but was injured at the Battle of Gettysburg.
In the future, depending on the interest, we could do a tour of the Civil War veterans buried there. Another option, as suggested a history of Susanville street names, i.e., visiting the graves of Brashear, Cornell, McDow, Weatherlow, etc. Let me know if any of these appeal to you.
Really enjoyed the narrative you provided.
