This is the 1962-63 first grade class. I went to first grade in 1961-62. Also notice this photo was taken in November 1962 which would have been the 62-63 school year. In November 1962, I had moved to second grade under the very strict Mrs. Oldham. She enjoyed sinking her fingernails into the boys biceps and making us sit under her desk. Mrs. West however was a real jewel and one of my favorite teachers.
