Mr. Crowley was 71 years of age at the time of his death. We are not in possession of any of the facts regarding the death of Mr. Crowley, but extend our sympathy to the bereaved relatives. Mrs. L.H. Sisson left here yesterday morning to be present at the burial.

Sawtelle , Frederick A. – 31 July 1912 1 ;5 – Frederick A. Sawtelle , an old resident of Eagleville died last Thursday morning from an illness lasting through the past two years. He was well known throughout this valley as a genial man to meet, and while its ending shocked his many friends. Frederick A. Sawtelle was born at Sydney , Maine , August, 1850 and in 1870 came to California and was married to Mrs. Hattie Nolan in 1879 and in 1884 came to Surprise Valley where he has lived ever since. His remains were laid to rest on Friday afternoon in the Eagleville Cemetery , the funeral being under the auspices of the Masonic order, and a large number were present to pay their last tribute of respect to their old time friend. He leaves to mourn his loss a wife and family of eight children to whom is extended sympathy of the entire community. – Record

Trumbo , George H. – 13 December 1911 2 ;2 – Last Thursday evening Mr. and Mrs. J.H. Parker arrived here from Idaho , bringing with them the body of Mrs. Parker’s brother, George F. Trumbo , who had been killed by being thrown from a horses, as we stated last week. The funeral was held from the Baptist Church last Friday afternoon and the remains were laid to rest in the Masonic Cemetery , the services being conducted by Rev. G.N. Gardner. A large assemblage of friends were present to pay their respects to the departed. The deceased formerly resided here and leaves many sincere friends to mourn his loss.
